Do’s And Don’ts Of Web Design

When it comes to designing a web page there are many things that should absolutely be made part of the website, and some that should not. If you are new to the process and are still learning the art of website making, here is a list of do’s and don’ts that will help you get through the task effectively:

DO’s

Keep your page structured: Make sure that the information on your webpage is not too crammed into one page. A lot of information can make your user feel like he is up for a challenge. Keep your approach and ideology simple. If your website has any facts then they should be simply stated. They should be written and displayed in ways that are easy to comprehend by the user.

Keep relevant information: If you have decided on some content for your website, make sure that it is all relevant to the idea your webpage is following in the first place. It should either add to it or explain it; the information should all be of relevance.

Single color: The best and leading websites in the world are monotone. They have a white background with colorfully written text that makes it stand out and readable for the reader. Follow the same policy.

Use images: Use several but just about enough images. The human mind is receptive and responds better to images than it does to text. Hence, when it comes to delivering information follow the same policy and make it visual for your user.

DON’TS

Let things clutter: No matter what you do, do not clutter things into one paragraph. Imagine if you visited a webpage to learn something or to find something out, would you continue reading if everything was written into one paragraph and placed out there for you? No. you will continue looking for a place that gives you the same information, perhaps even more in an interesting way.

Provide excessive information: If you have a makeup brand business and webpage, then you will be required to give a detailed introduction in the most creative way possible. However, if you start the information by telling the reader the history of makeup, this is irrelevant to him and to your website. Do not provide excessive and useless information.

Use several colors: Do not use a bunch of colors thinking it will attract your reader and make them want to see your site each time. A lot of colors will only confuse your reader and even set them off and see you as an amateur. Therefore, do not go overboard with your choice and number of colors being used.

Use too many images: Too many images can also make your website appear to be cluttered, flimsy, careless and even nonsensical. Use images only where you feel absolutely necessary. Use them to make an impact and not as a replacement to a simple statement. This will increase the speed of your website too.

Hence, if you keep your website basic and simple it is bound to do well and gain more clientele.
