After the release of Galaxy Tab Pro, Samsung took relatively little time, but Samsung has already revealed a new line of Tab S, designed to be the flagship of all the tablets of the company. The larger and smaller models of this series are very similar, yes we are talking about Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and S8.5, which are powered with same configuration.
Samsung does not pay enough attention to the design of their devices; they all look pretty boring and very similar to each other. On the other hand, if a tablet is in front of you, you are likely to immediately recognize it by the rounded edges and a physical button below the screen that it belongs to Samsung. Rim of the tablet made of gold plastic, such a decision in the company used for the first time, before the rim was always silver. The back panel is made of perforated plastic stylized under the skin. Tactile sensations that look more like a plastic used in the Galaxy S5 material, rather than the plastic of the Galaxy Note 3. On the front side there is a 10.5-inch display, over which is light sensor and proximity, front camera, as well as mesh earpiece (in the version of the tablet with 3G).
Below the display, you can see the physical button “Home” with built-in fingerprint reader and touch buttons “Recent Apps” and “Back”. It is important to add that the physical button protrudes slightly from the rest of the tablet, so the backpack may be erroneous pressing. In principle, this is achieved by setting the unlock fingerprint, but this problem should be noted. At the top there are the power button, volume rocker, and infrared. On the right you can see the cover for the memory card microSDHC, microUSB connector and the mesh of one of the stereo speakers. And on the left is a 3.5 mm plug for headphones, as well as the second of stereo speakers. In the tablet there are excellent stereo speakers, which are outstanding and produces the loud sound, and their location is optimal.
Dimensions and weight of Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is one of its key advantages. With a diagonal of 10.5 inches, this tablet weighs only 465 grams and has a thickness of only 6.7 mm. It is noticeable that Samsung desperately chasing Apple tablet and try to win them in size. Although the difference in size is not as impressive as between the iPad Mini Retina and Galaxy Tab S 8.4. But thanks to its lightweight tablet is comfortable to hold, even with one hand for a long time, and this is certainly one of its significant advantages.
So, Samsung once again proved that it is the best in the market and it would keep on proving with upcoming affordable solutions like Galaxy Tab 5. But the Galaxy Tab 5 release date is in dilemma.
