Unless you’re planning on selling ice cream to customers who live in your town or those who visit the area, you should try to make plans to shop your products across state lines. It’s often easy to do as long as you have the right ice cream shop supplies. You need to make sure the ice cream is completely frozen when it’s shipped and that it’s made right before it’s shipped so that it’s as fresh as possible when it’s delivered.
Contact your local post office to find out if there are any regulations in regards to the way the ice cream is shipped. Some states might not allow you to ship ice cream as it’s a liquid item. However, you can ship ice cream spoons. One way to make sure customers get the flavors that you offer in the shop is to add a small amount of ice cream to each spoon before making sure it’s completely frozen. Wrap the spoon tightly in plastic so that the ice cream doesn’t melt.
After all of the ice cream has been packed in a box, along with a few ice cream cups if you want to add more of the product, add dry ice to the box. This will help to keep the product frozen. Label the box according to instructions by the post office so that it reaches the destination in tact.
