At the starting of eighteenth century a young man with calm eyes took shelter in a mosque in Shirdi Village of Maharshtra State. He was unknown to anyone and hardly spoke anything.
After a while villagers started offering food him, but he never begged or asked anything from them. He was also seen sharing his food with the animals. Soon after, the young sage started expressing his views to few elderly villagers. His expression and simple language and his ability to solve the problems of poor and destitute made him a known personality. People started calling him as Shri Sai Baba.
